About this event

When expanding to the US, having the right people on board is crucial to success. While the US market offers a huge opportunity, entering the market requires much time, effort, and resources. But who should be at the helm of taking the company to the US? Should you hire locally or send people from HQ? How do you onboard your first US team members and integrate them into the company culture?

Join this session for a panel discussion on building your US team, followed by a "mini-masterclass" with Brett Putter on the key lessons to transferring your culture effectively when expanding to the US.

This session will cover topics such as:

👉 Should you send someone from HQ or hire locally?

👉 Who should be your first hire(s) and how do you make sure they're a great fit for your company?

👉 What to be aware of when bringing on US hires (employment contracts, differences in benefits/ contracts)

👉 How to onboard new hires in the best way

👉 What to do when things go wrong?

👉 What's next after establishing an initial presence

👉 Culture - 6 key lessons to transferring your culture effectively
